PreSchool Plates

Service Description

Invite Laura from Clay it Forward to your preschool where each student in a class can design their own slab plate. I supply clay already rolled out in a slab and rough cut for each student. I provide a wide variety of objects for stamping texture into the clay and personalizing the plate with their name in stamps. We trace the clay with a mold that will shape the clay into plate form and leave it to dry. This is one classroom visit. When the plate have been fired, Laura will glaze with clear glaze and return finished plates to the classroom. Clay is an off-white color. I work with each student individually in groups of 3-4 while letting them guide the direction of design. A typical visit take up to two hours for set up, student work, and clean up.
